This coming July 12th, at 8:00pm, another night of poetry at Zu Galeria with poet Germán Guerra!
Germán Guerra was born in Guantánamo, Cuba, in 1966. He is a poet, essayist, editor and photographer. His publications include Dos Poemas (Col. Strumento, Miami, 1998), Metal (Dylemma, Miami, 1998) and Libro de silencio (EntreRíos, Los Angeles - Miami, 2007). A number of his poems were included in Reunión de Ausentes: Antología de poetas cubanos (Término, Ohio, 1998), Las caras del amor: 200 poetas de más de 1000 ciudades del mundo (Versal Editorial Group, Massachusetts, 1999), and Island of My Hunger: Cuban Poetry Today (City Lights, San Francisco, 2007).
He is the founder and director of the Colección Strumento
since 1998, a small publishing house that produces books of poetry, each handcrafted and unique. His poems as well as essays and articles on aesthetics and literary criticism have been published in journals in Cuba, Spain, France, México and the United States, as well as on the Internet. He has lived in Miami since 1992.
He will be reading from his new book, " Libro de Silencio ", and some of his unpublished works as well. The book will be available for purchase.
