Through the years, I have heard, kind of in a whisper, that art galleries are for a selected few. Myths are myths, and the most important thing is to venture out, walk in and experience the art freely. What I strive for in my gallery, is to offer everyone a welcoming, relaxed environment. I like for people that come to my gallery not to feel intimidated, rather to give the place and the art a chance.
I love the arts... but there's so much to learn, and there is so much happening in the arts right now in Miami, that I am learning new things every day. Ask plenty of questions without feeling embarrassed. I have learned so much in the last year from the different artists in my gallery, as well as from the collectors.
You don't necessarily have to buy something when you come to an art gallery. Art is something you will live with forever,so it is important that you take the time to purchase the adequate piece for you.
I urge everyone interested in the arts, and also those who have never thought about it, to start attending the openings and other art related activities that are happening all over town... almost on a weekly basis.
Let's crush the myth about art galleries and incorporate art into our daily lives! We will all be happier if we do!
